The Uneven Toast
Two simply drawn hands raise an elongated flute and a squat goblet, their rims meeting against a pale rose background.
Small 640×512, Medium 1200×960
Finished hand-drawn editorial illustration, landscape 5:4. Two cropped forearms enter from opposite lower edges, simple mitten-like hands holding two wildly mismatched drinking glasses: a very tall narrow crimson flute on the left and a broad squat magenta goblet on the right. Their rims touch just right of centre, marked by two short celebratory strokes. Small flat shapes of liquid remain level inside the tilted glasses. Oversized bowls, tiny bases, asymmetric arrangement. Combine loose felt-marker fills with a simplified wood-engraving look: bold dark-crimson relief contours, slightly irregular edges and a few broad pale carved highlights, no intricate hatching. Pale rose background, generous empty space across the upper left. Flat colour, expressive silhouettes, clear at thumbnail size. Show only hands and forearms, no faces, no extra objects. No text, logos or watermarks.
