Sun-Carved Signet
A dramatically oversized gold signet ring with a simple recessed sun motif, illustrated with broad marker fills and embroidery-like contours against plum.
Small 640×384, Medium 1200×720
Finished editorial illustration, landscape 5:3. One gold signet ring stands upright on its squat band on a plain muted-plum surface, occupying the left two-thirds. Surface-level worm's-eye viewpoint, looking upward; its comically oversized oval face tilts toward the viewer so the engraving remains clear. A single simple sun motif is carved into the face: one circular groove and six broad radial grooves, dark rust recesses with offset cream edges suggesting depth, not printed decoration. Expressive hand-drawn marker fills combined with chunky embroidered-looking contour stitches; only a few large stitch marks, no intricate thread detail. Alternating broad cream and ochre patches suggest checker-pattern illumination across the gold. Slightly asymmetric silhouette, short grounding shadow, flat plum background and generous empty space at right. Bold shapes legible at thumbnail size. No people, text, logos or watermarks.
