The Growing Sandy Hook
A broad tan sand spit curls around shallow turquoise water, illustrated with flat screen-print colours and broken marker outlines.
Small 640×512, Medium 1200×960
Finished hand-drawn editorial illustration, landscape 5:4, screen-print inspired with broad marker fills. Oblique aerial view of one coastal sand spit attached to a small stretch of shoreline entering from the lower right. Its comically narrow neck widens into an oversized asymmetric sandy hook, curling around a sheltered turquoise inlet. A pale sandy fringe along the rounded tip suggests freshly accumulated sediment; three short, soft wave strokes meet its outer edge. Warm tan sand, pale aqua shallows, deeper teal open water, dark brown broken hand-inked contours. Sparse coarse ink grain, slightly uneven colour registration, simple bold shapes, no intricate detail. Keep the hook in the lower-right two-thirds and leave generous uninterrupted water at upper left. One coherent coastal scene, legible at thumbnail size, playful rather than scientific. No people, arrows, diagrams, text, logos or watermarks.
