Ruffled Coral Sunburst
An overhead marker illustration of an oversized, asymmetrical plate coral in vivid shallow water, with open space on the left.
Small 640×384, Medium 1200×720
Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, landscape 5:3. Direct overhead view into clear turquoise shallows: one enormous plate-coral colony occupies the right half, its outermost rim slightly cropped by the right edge. A broad tangerine center expands into a wildly asymmetrical hot-pink ruffled plate, with several oversized rounded lobes and a thick cobalt underside visible along the curling rim. Suggest its shallow cupped surface with only four loose curved marker strokes, no intricate pattern. A soft offset teal shadow anchors it to the pale sandy seabed beneath the water. Leave the left half mostly open turquoise with one broad lighter wash suggesting sunlight. Playful speculative scale, flat saturated color blocks, imperfect felt-tip contours, slight marker overlap, simple thumbnail-readable silhouette. One coral only, no branching reef, fish or people. No text, logos or watermarks.
