Smoke Above the Ridge
A towering slate smoke silhouette with an oversized, uneven crown rises above a small burning ridge on a pale pink background.
Small 360×640, Medium 675×1200
Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, 9:16 vertical. A single enormous wildfire-smoke plume rises from a thin jagged ridge near the bottom edge. Treat the plume as a high-contrast silhouette portrait: a long narrow stem swelling into a comically oversized, asymmetric crown of four broad irregular lobes, leaning right. Deep slate marker fill against pale rose-quartz paper, blunt handmade edges and very sparse stroke texture. A few tiny pale-pink flame-shaped notches interrupt the ridge directly beneath the smoke, clearly identifying its wildfire source. A slightly displaced darker-pink ink layer peeks along one side of the silhouette like imperfect print registration. Place the plume right of centre, with generous uninterrupted space on the left and a clear margin above. Bold flat shapes, immediately legible at thumbnail size; no internal smoke detailing, intricate hatching or decorative props. No people, text, logos or watermarks.
