Authentic wildlife photograph, 8:5 landscape. A wild adult orangutan sits low on a dark volcanic-soil stream bank in Sumatran rainforest, seen from a distance and slightly below with a 300mm telephoto lens, placed off-centre in the left third. Its shaggy ember-orange fur is the one warm note against ash-grey soil, a pale silty stream and charcoal tree trunks. Thin low mist drifts between buttress roots and ferns, giving a soft, dreamlike hush. Soft overcast diffuse daylight, natural colours, accurate anatomy and hands, damp realistic fur, shallow depth of field, subtle sensor grain. Quiet observational documentary look. No people, no props, no text, no logos, no watermarks.
