Authentic documentary nature photograph, landscape 4:3. One mature western red cedar stands slightly left of centre in a damp temperate forest, its thick buttressed trunk with deep vertical fibrous reddish-grey bark rising from a carpet of moss and fern, flat drooping sprays of scaled foliage above. Soft overcast diffuse daylight, thin mist softening the trees behind into pale green-grey layers, open quiet space to the right. Natural muted colours, believable exposure, subtle sensor grain. 50mm lens, eye level slightly low, moderate depth of field, trunk bark sharp. Solemn, silent, observational. No people, no animals, no props, no text, no logos.
