Finished hand-drawn pencil editorial illustration, 2:3 portrait, direct eye-level view. Two neighbours pause for a friendly chat across one low shared garden fence. On the left, an exceptionally lanky figure in a terracotta jumper bends gently forward, forearms resting on the fence; on the right, a short, broad figure in a teal cardigan tilts their head upward, simple hands resting nearby. Distinctive asymmetric silhouettes, tiny eyes, small relaxed smiles, uncomplicated hands. Their facing heads form the focal point in the lower two-thirds. Just three broad fence boards establish the setting; a faint sage garden wash disappears into warm cream paper behind them. Loose graphite contours, broad coloured-pencil fills with the bold simplicity of marker illustration, slightly uneven edges, no intricate hatching. Generous empty space above, warm everyday humour, clear at thumbnail size. No speech bubbles, text, logos or watermarks.
