Watching the Scan
A disproportionately long-necked character leans over an oversized flatbed scanner in a simple crimson, mint and sky-blue marker vignette.
Small 480×640, Medium 900×1200
Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, portrait 3:4. Three-quarter overhead view of one comically wide flatbed scanner on a short desk, its lid raised diagonally. A single blank ivory sheet lies face-down on the glass; a broad mint scanning-light band glows beneath it. At left, an invented character with a pear-shaped crimson sweater, tiny head, unusually long curved neck and short legs leans forward to watch. Minimal dot eyes, one simple mitten-shaped hand resting on the desk, curious posture. Scanner and scanning action are the focal point. Fading sky-blue window light enters from off-frame right, expressed through broad cool shadow shapes. Warm pale background with generous empty upper-right space. Loose dark marker contours, flat colour fills, slight marker streaks, a few large shapes only. No intricate hatching or technical diagrams. No medical equipment. No text, logos or watermarks.
