Tightening the Civic Belt
A chunky copper belt encloses a paper-white civic-building silhouette against deep teal, with an exaggerated buckle and sweeping loose tail.
Small 640×640, Medium 1200×1200
Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, square 1:1. One enormous copper-coloured belt forms a tight, broad loop around a squat civic-building silhouette left entirely unpainted in warm-white paper. The negative-space building has a simple triangular pediment and three broad column shapes, legible at thumbnail size. An oversized rectangular buckle interrupts the loop at lower left; an absurdly long belt tail sweeps toward the right edge with just two large punched holes. Make the belt visibly recognizable, with chunky asymmetric proportions and slightly wobbly marker edges. Place the main loop left of centre on a flat deep-teal field, leaving generous empty space above and to the right. Copper is a matte colour, not a realistic metallic effect. Strong light-dark contrast, broad fills, minimal paper texture, no shading complexity. One integrated visual metaphor for tightening public budgets, not a diagram. No people, text, logos or watermarks.
