The Unimpressed Giraffe
A hand-drawn giraffe with a tiny body and an enormous curved neck peers into a golden pool on a pale, uncluttered bank.
Small 533×640, Medium 1000×1200
Finished editorial hand-drawn marker illustration, portrait 5:6. One giraffe stands on the left bank of a small pool, its tiny compact torso supported by four simple legs. An impossibly long neck rises and sweeps across the upper frame in one broad arch, lowering a small head toward the water at lower right. Clear giraffe silhouette, two short ossicones, a few oversized rust-brown spots, half-lidded eyes and a flat, unimpressed mouth. The pool is a simple ochre-gold shape with two broad reflection strokes and a loose suggestion of the muzzle's reflection. Golden-hour water glow warms the underside of its face. Pale cream ground, sparse dusty sage bank, generous empty space inside the neck's arch. Bold irregular marker contours, broad translucent colour fills, visible stroke overlaps, minimal detail. Playful speculative anatomy, quiet staging, legible at thumbnail size. No people, intricate hatching, text, logos or watermarks.
