The Shape of a Stride
Four side-view photographs show successive phases of a runner’s stride across a scuffed wooden sports-hall floor.
Small 640×346, Medium 1200×649
Hyperrealistic candid editorial photography, overall landscape 1.85:1. A horizontal motion sequence of four equal photographic frames with narrow ivory gutters, all from the same session, fixed low side-view camera and identical exposure. Follow the same adult recreational runner’s near foot through one stride: heel contact, weight settling over the sole, heel lifting, then toe-off. Crop each frame from just below the knee; retain ample floor around the moving foot. Plain faded charcoal running shoe, unmarked cream sock, natural calf texture. Empty older sports hall with scuffed honey-coloured timber boards and a softly unfocused wall. Broad window light, warm floor bounce illuminating the underside of the calf and shoe. Fast shutter freezes each phase naturally; consistent scale and left-to-right orientation. Restrained colour grading, controlled highlights, convincing rubber compression and anatomical continuity.
