The Proofing Pause
Pale bread dough rises above the rim of a dark loaf tin on a kitchen counter, beside a partly withdrawn tea towel.
Small 640×427, Medium 1200×800
Quiet documentary photograph, 3:2 landscape, viewed directly overhead. One well-used dark steel loaf tin sits slightly off-centre on an ordinary cool-grey kitchen counter, its long axis running diagonally through the frame. Unscored bread dough has risen just above the rim, forming a softly swollen pale oval within the dark rectangle. A plain off-white cotton tea towel has been pulled back from the tin and remains loosely folded beside one short end, partly cropped. Keep the counter otherwise empty, with generous space to the right. Available sunlight reflected from a nearby pale wall produces broad soft illumination and a gentle shadow beneath the tin. Restrained natural colour, realistic exposure, modest irregularities in the dough and metal. Normal-lens perspective, enough depth of field to keep the tin and dough clear. No people, artificial grain, exaggerated texture, text, logos or watermarks.
