Finished hand-drawn editorial illustration, 4:5 portrait. One bedroom viewed obliquely from its doorway. At the far right, a comically tall pear-shaped wooden wardrobe has a narrow top, broad rounded belly, two plain doors and tiny feet; its unmistakable silhouette is the focal point. A compact bed with one cream pillow nestles beside it along the lower edge, partly cropped. Keep the central wall broad, empty and twilight blue. A tiny bedside lamp casts a restrained apricot pool across the bedding, contrasting with cool indigo room shadows. Loose thick marker contours, broad colour fills, and mezzotint-inspired velvety dark-to-light tonal masses with sparse soft grain. Simple asymmetrical shapes, minimal furniture detail, no intricate hatching. Muted blue, aubergine, ochre and cream. Clear at thumbnail size, generous breathing room, one continuous room rather than a cutaway. No people, no text, no logos or watermarks.
