The Long Empty Flask
A loosely outlined empty flask has an exaggerated narrow neck and squat asymmetric base against warm ivory.
Small 427×640, Medium 800×1200
Finished hand-drawn editorial ink illustration, 2:3 portrait. One empty glass flask standing slightly left of centre: a small, squat triangular body with rounded shoulders, one side subtly wider than the other, and an absurdly long narrow neck ending in a simple open rim. Clearly recognizable silhouette, exaggerated but physically continuous. Draw with thick, slightly wavering black felt-tip marker contours, a few natural overlaps and only two short interior strokes. One broad pale-grey marker wash along the lower body leaves most of the vessel unfilled. Warm ivory background, tiny flat grey grounding shadow, generous uninterrupted space on the right. Playfulness comes from proportions; emotional stillness comes from the empty vessel and restrained palette. No face, people, props, laboratory setting, measurement marks, diagrams or intricate hatching. No text, logos or watermarks.
