The Big Butter Churn
A broad creamery butter churn, small milk can and elongated crank shadow in a simple hand-drawn marker illustration.
Small 427×640, Medium 800×1200
Finished editorial marker illustration, 2:3 portrait, silhouette-based graphic shadow play. In a spare creamery interior, one comically broad horizontal barrel butter churn sits on two tiny support legs, low and left of centre. Its oversized hand crank rises high above the barrel; one small lidded milk can beside it establishes the dairy setting. Warm ivory background, deep navy churn, muted blue milk can, a single butter-yellow patch on the barrel. Light from the upper left throws a long, simplified paddle-shaped crank shadow diagonally across the floor toward the right edge. Loose felt-tip edges, broad opaque fills, slight marker streaks, deliberately asymmetric proportions. Only a short wall-floor junction suggests the room. Keep silhouettes unmistakable at thumbnail size, with generous empty space above and to the right. No intricate machinery, hatching or decorative props. No people, text, logos or watermarks.
