The Big Bend
A loose marker illustration of an exaggerated pear-shaped race circuit around a lime-green infield, viewed obliquely beneath a pale sky.
Small 480×640, Medium 900×1200
Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, portrait 3:4. One empty outdoor motor-racing circuit seen from an elevated oblique viewpoint, not a map or diagram. Its continuous charcoal asphalt loop has a comically broad, rounded foreground bend and unusually long narrowing straights leading to a tiny far curve. A simple lime-green grassy infield makes the loop instantly legible. Broad alternating coral-red and cream curb blocks follow the inside edge; no intricate markings. The oversized near bend occupies the lower left, with the circuit receding toward the upper right. Low grassy surroundings and a pale peach sky establish one open-air place, with generous breathing room above. Wobbly dark marker contours, broad flat colour strokes, occasional visible overlap, charming asymmetric proportions. Simple shapes readable at thumbnail size; no hatching, cars, people, crowds or extra props. No text, logos or watermarks.
