Softbox in Bloom
An octagonal softbox tilts upward in a colored studio corner, above a curling light trail and a cropped mirror reflection.
Small 512×640, Medium 960×1200
Experimental editorial photograph, 4:5 portrait, one real octagonal softbox on a slender black stand in an uncluttered working studio corner. Front three-quarter view, camera near waist height, entire diffuser visible in the upper half, tilted upward toward off-frame light like a bloom. Preserve ordinary fabric creases, black edging and swivel hardware. Subdued green RGB wash from the left, pale violet from the right; white diffusion fabric retains neutral highlights. During a tripod-mounted long exposure, a small light is moved just above the existing cable on the concrete floor, leaving one thin, gently curling luminous trail. A flat mirror partly cropped by the bottom edge reflects only a fragment of the stand and trail, creating a subtle spatial puzzle. One physical softbox, no actual plants or invented equipment. Crisp stationary object, restrained exposure, breathing room around the diffuser, no artificial grain or HDR. No people, no text, no logos or watermarks.
