Repair Before Dark
A handleless kitchen tap and adjustable spanner beside a cropped stainless-steel basin, photographed in cool window light.
Small 512×640, Medium 960×1200
Candid editorial still-life photograph, 4:5 portrait. Close oblique view of an installed chrome single-lever kitchen tap at the rear edge of an ordinary stainless-steel sink. Its lever handle and decorative cover have been removed, exposing the brass cartridge retaining nut. One small adjustable spanner grips that nut, its handle resting diagonally on the sink rim: a repair paused, no hands present. Keep the curved spout recognizable. The dark basin occupies the lower left as a simple graphic shape; a narrow strip of plain off-white backsplash closes the upper frame. Soft cool blue-hour daylight from a nearby window catches the chrome and brass, with naturally darker interior shadows. Realistic exposure, restrained natural colour, ordinary water spots and slight wear, no manufactured grime. 50mm lens, enough depth of field to keep the fitting and tool clear, no artificial blur. No loose-parts display, no towel, no people, no text, logos or watermarks.
