Nebula with a Long Tail
An asymmetric coral nebula with a slender violet plume crosses a blue-black field in broad, textured paint strokes.
Small 640×427, Medium 1200×800
Finished editorial illustration, 3:2 landscape. One luminous nebula: an exaggerated, swollen coral-and-peach gas lobe occupies the lower-left, narrowing into an improbably long violet plume sweeping toward the upper middle. Keep the silhouette asymmetric and immediately legible at thumbnail size. Warm near-facing gas overlaps a cool indigo interior, with blue-black space filling the background and generous empty space on the right. A soft amber glow catches the underside, suggesting reflected light without any floor or horizon. Impasto-inspired painting built from a few broad, thick paint daubs, simplified palette-knife ridges and loose hand-drawn marker contours; expressive handmade edges, no intricate texture or hatching. Soft luminous transitions only around the gas cloud, not photorealistic. No planets, spacecraft, people, diagrams, text, logos or watermarks.
