Little Mast, Wide Ocean
An oversized coral research buoy tilts on a sweeping navy wave, with chunky carved edges, loose marker fills and open cream sky.
Small 640×640, Medium 1200×1200
Finished hand-drawn editorial illustration, square 1:1. One oceanographic research buoy rides a single long rolling wave in open sea. Its coral-orange floating hull is absurdly broad and squat, topped by a tiny crooked mast with one simple antenna and a small dark solar panel. Place the buoy left of centre, tilted gently with the wave; the wave sweeps diagonally through the lower half, leaving generous warm-cream sky above and to the right. Combine broad, slightly uneven marker fills with a wood-engraving look: thick dark carved contours, blunt shapes and just a few broad white gouge marks, no intricate hatching. Deep navy water, coral hull, pale cyan edge highlight suggesting cool spilled light. Playful, expansive, legible at thumbnail size. No people, explanatory diagrams, scientific cutaways, text, logos or watermarks.
