Leaving the Alcove
An exposed mattress and loosely tied bedding occupy a small bedroom recess, with daylight falling across a wall marked by a removed headboard.
Small 533×640, Medium 1000×1200
Hyperrealistic narrative editorial photograph, vertical 5:6. An unoccupied bedroom alcove midway through being emptied. View from just outside the recess at a slight oblique angle, 35mm lens, enough depth of field to describe the room. A low bed fills the right two-thirds; its mattress is bare except for a duvet and pillow hastily bundled together with plain cotton cord near the foot, one linen edge trailing over the side. A subtly lighter rectangle on the plaster wall records a removed headboard. Empty wall on the left provides breathing room. Soft daylight from an unseen window is the dominant illumination; a small opal-glass pendant beside the bed remains switched on, casting a modest warm pool. Muted chalk, oatmeal and natural wood, convincing fabric weight, restrained wear, controlled highlights and realistic optical depth. No people, no text, no logos or watermarks.
