Learning Across the Workbench
A squat mentor gestures toward a pine cone while a tall apprentice listens across a short workbench, drawn in hot-pink and cyan marker.
Small 480×640, Medium 900×1200
Finished hand-drawn editorial spot illustration, portrait 3:4. In a spare craft studio, two adult craftspeople share one short workbench. At lower left, a broad, squat mentor in a hot-pink apron leans a forearm on the bench and gestures toward one small pine cone. At right, an exceptionally lanky apprentice in a cyan apron bends gently toward the mentor, head tilted in attentive listening, with a small understanding smile. Their contrasting silhouettes curve inward around the pine cone, the shared point of attention. Minimal faces, simple mitten-like hands, no detailed fingers. Pine cone rendered as a tapered brown shape with five broad scalloped marks. Thick, slightly uneven dark-plum marker contours, flat saturated fills, occasional visible marker overlaps, subtle cyan reflected-colour accents. Warm ivory background, only a tabletop and two simple bench legs to establish the workspace. Asymmetric arrangement in the lower two-thirds, generous breathing room above and around all edges. No intricate hatching, diagrams, text, logos or watermarks.
