Before the Pull
Three close photographs show a hand touching, wrapping around and firmly gripping a damp outdoor pull-up bar against raw concrete.
Small 640×640, Medium 1200×1200
Hyperrealistic contemporary editorial sports photography, square 1:1 contact sheet containing three equal vertical photographs separated by narrow ivory gutters. Same athlete, same right hand, same outdoor calisthenics bar, photographed seconds apart from an identical close side viewpoint. Left panel: fingertips tentatively touch the top of the horizontal steel bar. Middle: fingers curl around it. Right: a secure closed grip, thumb opposed beneath the bar, subtle tendon tension. Each panel contains only one anatomically correct hand and cropped wrist; face and body outside the frame. The bar crosses each panel at the same height. Tiny rain droplets cling to dull steel; a softly defocused raw concrete wall fills the background. Rainy gray civil-dawn light, cool natural colour, controlled wet highlights. Close-focus 85mm lens, enough depth of field to resolve skin pores, creases and contact points. A measured progression from hesitation to commitment, not an action spectacle.
