Arcade Through the Window
A portrait marker illustration of an old market arcade viewed through a cropped window, with exaggerated arches, squat piers and stitched contours.
Small 427×640, Medium 800×1200
Finished editorial illustration, 2:3 portrait. From seated eye level inside an otherwise unseen room, look straight through an off-centre window across a small empty courtyard toward one old market arcade. A thick cropped window jamb at left and a broad sill below create a physical frame. The arcade has three absurdly tall, narrow arch openings supported by short, swollen masonry piers; its roofline remains horizontal, not receding diagonally. Loose hand-drawn marker fills in muted terracotta, dusty rose and warm limestone, with dark olive arch interiors. Broad, widely spaced dashed outlines resemble running stitches on cloth; no intricate embroidery or hatching. A few large mismatched masonry patches suggest repairs across generations. Soft daylight, minimal shadows, simple asymmetrical silhouettes, clear thumbnail readability. Leave the upper-right wall pale and spacious. No people, text, logos or watermarks.
