A silver-haired older man and a short, broad older partner sit at opposite ends of a rust-orange sofa, their cream-socked feet meeting near the center.

A Quiet Toe Tap

Two older partners with contrasting silhouettes sit on a small sofa, their socked toes meeting between them. Flat textile-like shapes and loose marker edges create a simple editorial illustration.

Finished hand-drawn marker editorial illustration, landscape 5:2, textile-inspired appliqué composition. On the left two-thirds, an elongated, narrow grandfather with silver hair and a short, broad older partner sit at opposite ends of one comically small, low sofa. Their bodies turn slightly inward; his long leg extends until their socked toes gently meet in the middle, the affectionate focal point. Simple mitten-shaped hands rest separately on their laps; minimal faces with small contented smiles. Rust-orange sofa, muted verdigris and plum clothing, cream socks, warm ivory background. Build silhouettes from broad overlapping fabric-like colour patches, outlined in loose dark marker, with only a few oversized seam dashes. Flat colour, no intricate stitching or hatching. A single uneven ground stroke anchors the sofa; leave generous empty space on the right. Warm, playful, legible at thumbnail size. No text, logos or watermarks.
